This Single Place Clifton magnetic stirrer is robustly constructed and designed for a long and durable life featuring independent advanced temperature and speed control for each hob.
Unit consists of a low profile corrosion resistant stainless steel case with a chemical resistant wipe clean sloping control panel which feature bright status indicators. An aluminium hob plate provides a stable source of constant heating. An accessory retort rod can be fitted into a mounting point at the rear and unit is supplied with one pair of PTFE coated stirring bars.
Heating
New low mass hob providing rapid energy transfer and heat up times whilst reducing energy consumption.
The new disc heater has the added benefit of uniformly spreading its heat across surface of the hob instead of more traditional construction of a tubular ring-heating element, which can concentrate heat.
Stirring
Improved electronic speed control.
Improved more powerful magnets for stronger magnetic coupling over speed range 100-1500rpm.
Stir volumes up to 5 litres (related to water).
Each place is supplied with one pair of PTFE coated stirring bars
Construction
Body being durable construction with powder paint finish having good chemical and detergent resistance.
Now featuring an “Anti-bacterial paint finish” that inhibits the growth of bacteria - more details in "Features and Benefits" below.

12. Powder painted body providing a durable finish and protection against corrosion and now featuring “active anti-bacterial technology”. This paint finish actively inhibits bacterial growth improving hygiene requirements as demanded by many clinical and laboratory environments. Hygienic coatings are part of a controlled approach to cleaner facilities. The Clifton range has always featured easy to wipe clean smooth paint finishes that are resistant to routine and efficient disinfection’s, however this improved coating featuring ‘a(chǎn)ctive anti-bacterial’ properties provides an extra layer of defence. This new anti-bacterial paint finish is effective against major strains of bacterium including E-coli and Staphylococcus aureus, resistant strain. Within its formulation an active ingredient is a proven anti-bacterial agent bound into the coating during application and curing to the product. The efficacy of the paint finish applied to the Clifton range is maintained over time, as the anti-bacterial agent is integral within the paint finish. | ||||||||
